I have over 20 years experience as a Chartered Psychologist and am an experienced clinician, trainer, supervisor, manager and researcher.
I trained both as a general and psychiatric nurse prior to qualifying as a psychologist. I am registered as a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist as well as a Psychotherapist.
I have worked across several specialties including adult mental health, HIV/AIDS, addiction and forensic client groups as well as across a range of settings, eg community, day programmes, inpatient and low, medium and high secure facilities. I have extensive experience in assessing and treating victims and perpetrators.
I am a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, a Dialectical Behaviour Therapist, a Cognitive Analytic Therapist (Practitioner, Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Trainer) and have completed further training in EMDR, group analytic, psychoanalytic and systemic approaches. I am also experienced in the use of a wide range of risk and personality assessments.
I have been involved in service development and led teams.
Over recent years I have become increasingly interested in organisational psychology and the context in which services are provided and the impact of organisation and team dynamics on the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
I have also trained as an Organisational Consultant and an Expert Witness.
I am an independent practitioner. You will deal directly with me.
